I negotiated access to the House of Lords, the upper chamber of the UK parliament, at a time of great political turmoil. The series follows some of the larger-than-life characters who inhabit the Lords, where ancient privilege collides with modern politics, and throws up some difficult questions about democracy, privilege and power.
